SMH: Woody Allen Says Obama Should Become a Dictator

by iSpit

It is another example of the mindset of the Hollywood lib elite. Film director Woody Allen — who demonstrated his warped ethos a few years ago by marrying his adopted daughter — believes Obama would get more done if he declared himself dictator.

“I am pleased with Obama. I think he’s brilliant. The Republican Party should get out of his way and stop trying to hurt him,” Allen said in an interview published by Spanish language monarchist newspaper La Vanguardia. “It would good… if he could be a dictator for a few years because he could do a lot of good things quickly.”

Sort of like Mussolini’s idea of making the trains run on time?

Allen is frustrated with American politics and pines for the simplicity of a dictatorship. As a member of the intellectual elite, Woody Allen has no patience for the political demands of the little people who are currently flocking in droves to the Tea Party movement and embracing the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Vibe Presents: A Short Convo With… Jay Electronica

by iSpit

VIBE: We didn’t think you would be down for this interview since you’re so elusive.

That is a rumor. That I’m elusive. People say that because they are spoiled. They think if you don’t respond to them that you’re being elusive. That is inconsiderate, for them to think that I should drop whatever I’m doing to answer them. You [remember when] you had a house phone and people called after homework, dinner or before dinner? Now folks call all times of the day and night and want a response. How you do know that I’m not in a good mood or tired? We can talk today and if you don’t get to me the next three days or week, people get offended. It’s so insensitive to demand immediate contact. I come up to venues and people are surprised that I’m there. “Oh, we’re so happy you came.” Of course I’m coming. I booked the show.

The public is very interested in your “relationship” with Erykah Badu. What would you say is the one thing people misunderstand about her?

I think one thing people misunderstand about E. is she is genuine to her music. The things she’s singing about is really her. A lot of people think it’s a façade. The Erykah Badu you hear in your ears and feel in your music is the Erykah that her children know, my mother knows. A lot of people pass judgment on her because they view her as something that is built up.

Fed Audit Under Fire

by iSpit

It doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that the measure to audit the Federal Reserve is coming under continuous fire from the central bank and its cronies. For the first time since the Federal Reserve was created nearly a century ago, they have hired an actual lobbyist to pound the pavement on Capitol Hill. This is a desperate effort to hang on to the privilege of secrecy and lack of accountability they have enjoyed for so long. Last week showed they are getting their money’s worth in the Senate.

At the very last minute on the floor of the Senate, supposed compromise language was agreed to and substituted in the Sanders Amendment to the Financial Reform Bill. This language was acceptable to the administration, committee leadership, and to the Fed. The trouble is, while it is better than no audit at all, it guts the spirit of a truly meaningful audit of the most crucial transactions of the Fed. In fact, rather than still calling the Sanders Amendment an audit, maybe it should instead be called more of a disclosure at this point. (more…)

Freeway Ricky Ross To Sue Rapper Rick Ross, Universal & Def Jam Over Name

by iSpit

The real Freeway Ricky Ross

(not to be confused with these two guys)

could face off against the rapper Rick Ross (William Leonard Roberts II) in court this summer, over the usage of the name “Rick Ross.”

Rick Ross controlled thousands of workers at the height of his power in the mid-1980’s, who dealt millions of dollars worth of cocaine each day.

In 1995, Ross was sentenced to life in prison for attempting to purchase over 100 kilograms of cocaine.

Ross was released from prison in 2006 and attempted to reclaim his name.

Ross claims that Miami rapper Rick Ross (William Leonard Roberts II) signed a multimillion dollar deal in 2006, based on his image and likeness as a drug dealer.

More after the jump…

Banksters Throw a Trillion Bucks Down a Black Hole

by iSpit

The EU apparatchiks are in crisis mode. European Union boss Jose Manuel Barroso told us not to worry, though. They’re on it.

“This morning’s agreement will ensure that any attempt to weaken the stability of the euro will fail,” said Barroso today as the EU threw around a trillion bucks at the cancer spawned by the Greek debt crisis. “We have stated that we will do whatever is necessary to defend the stability of the euro,” he said with an actor’s confidence.

Barroso’s confidence game is designed to trick investors into thinking the eurozone with its fresh influx of IMF money is back on the road to good health. Instead it is like Max Factor smeared on a terminal cancer patient. Don’t expect CNBC or the market talking heads with their dizzy snake oil salesman demeanor to tell you the truth.

The so-called “nuclear option” now underway will only prolong and ultimately intensify the global economic crash. (more…)

Judge Denies Trae’s Injunction Request Against The Box

by iSpit

Simply put, the task before Trae seems illogical. No hip-hop artist has ever walked into a courtroom and essentially forced a radio station to play their music. Then again, no other hip-hop artist has a day named after him in his own city. Interestingly, it was the unfortunate events that occurred on Trae Day 2009 that set off a war of words between Trae and 97.9 The Box.

While most feuds between rappers and radio stations usually start and end on wax, Trae is daring to go where no rapper has gone. In the words of Trae’s attorney, Warren Fitzgerald Jr, “This is a novelty case.” its uniqueness was apparent on the face of district Judge Bill R. Burke Jr., who scratched his head repeatedly throughout Friday’s preliminary hearing. Trae alleges a pattern of business disparagement, conspiracy and tortious interference on the part of Radio One. Radio One, on the other hand, claims it has a constitutional right to decide what they will and will not play on the radio.
