Manganese In Water Tied To Kids’ Low IQ
An IQ comparison shows that Canadian regulations on manganese in drinking water should be updated to protect children, Quebec researchers say.
The average IQ of children whose tap water was in the upper 20 per cent of manganese concentration was six points below children whose water contained little or no manganese, the researchers found.
The study looked at 362 children aged six to 13. The amount of manganese from tap water and food was estimated, based on the results of a questionnaire.
Manganese is a naturally occurring metal found in groundwater. It is an essential nutrient, but in excessive amounts, it can damage the nervous system. It occurs in naturally high levels in several parts of Quebec, New Brunswick and other regions, researchers say.
Their study, published in Monday’s online issue of the journal Environmental Health Perspectives, focused on manganese levels in drinking water in eight communities along the St. Lawrence River between Montreal and Quebec City.

Johnson & Johnson ‘Played’ FDA Over Mortin Recall
As Johnson & Johnson was quietly removing defective Motrin from store shelves it ignored regulators who said the problems with the drug warranted an official recall, according to documents obtained by CNNMoney.com.
“It seems that your company is doing a recall even though you are calling it a ‘retrieval.’ The agency’s position is that your company should do a voluntary recall of the product since it appears that you already are doing a recall of the product,” Neisa Alonso an FDA investigator in San Juan, Puerto Rico wrote in an email to a J&J (JNJ, Fortune 500) executive dated July 16, 2009.
Alonso explained further that the problems with Motrin, which Johnson & Johnson brought to the FDA’s attention in late 2008, typically result in a product recall.
The FDA does not have authority to force companies to issue recalls, but the agency does issue guidelines to help firms decide when to conduct a recall.
If there is a reasonable probability that the product will cause serious adverse health effects or death, the company should issue a Class 1 recall.

O’Reilly: Muslims That Doubt Official 9/11 Story Could Be Terrorists

To Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, if a white person like former governor Jesse Ventura or former senator Mike Gravel questions the government’s recounting of the 9/11 attacks, he (or she) is a “pinhead.” But if a Muslim person questions the official story, well, that makes them a potentially dangerous “radical”.
Meaning: “That guy shouldn’t be allowed within 10 miles of Ground Zero,” the conservative broadcaster insisted during a recent episode of The O’Reilly Factor.
Perhaps O’Reilly should try explaining that to the 45 percent of Americans, according to a 2006 Zogby International poll sponsored by 9/11 activists, who say a new investigation into the events is called for; or the 42 percent of Americans who said they believe the government is covering something up; or, the 49 percent of New York City residents who agreed in 2004 that U.S. officials “knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act.”
By his own words, the Fox News personality appears to be suggesting that Americans, particularly Muslims, who doubt the official 9/11 story be banned from Ground Zero.
O’Reilly’s bizarre comment was made in the process of taking another swing at the New York City imam who plans to build an Islamic cultural center two blocks from the former World Trade Center site. The host’s latest approach to smearing Feisal Abdul Rauf, who worked with the FBI on counter-terrorism issues after 9/11, is guilt-by-association. In this case, the man O’Reilly has saddled with the flaming tire of “radical Islam” is Faiz Khan, M.D.

Brother Askia Sabur Near Fatally Beaten By Coward Phila Pigs: The Real Story (UPDATE)
Peace. Above is video of my good brother Askira Sabur being beaten damn near to death by some punk @ss cops with balls in there badge. I’m going to give you all the real story which I am sure you wont get anywhere else and then you can read the story below from the mainstream media and you can see how the mainstream media does what they do best… spin the truth.
On the evening of Sept 3rd, Brother Askia Sabur on his bike was accompanied by 3 other gentlemen on bikes to Lucky Star Chinese store located at 55th & Landsdowne. After ordering his food, the 3 other gentlemen had dispersed leaving Askia’s bike unattended outside of the store. As the temperature rose in the store, Askia stepped outside for fresh air and to tend after his bike which wasnt chained or secured in anyway. 2 unnamed and unidentified police officers approached him telling him to move away from the store and his bike. His food was already paid for so while he tried to explain this to the officer, one officer pushed him off the steps into another officer and began to brutally beat him for no reason other than his reputation as an activist in the community.
You see, in the article below and all of the others I have read pertaining to this situation, all they seem to mention of brother Sabur’s affiliations are those to a criminal past and to the justice system he was a victim of but never to the injustice system he fought against. This attack on brother Sabur was not an isolated incident, these are the type of attacks that are carried out when you try to speak out against the system that is designed against impoverished people. Abbott (Similac) Recalls Infant Formula Due To Bug Contamination
Drugmaker Abbott Laboratories said Wednesday it is recalling millions of containers of its best-selling Similac infant formula that may be contaminated with insect parts.
The voluntary action affects up to 5 million Similac-brand powder formulas sold in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam and some Caribbean countries. The company said the products may contain a small beetle or larvae, which could cause stomach ache and digestion problems.
The recall does not affect any liquid formulas or other Abbott-brand products.
A company spokeswoman said Abbott uncovered the insects last week in one section of a manufacturing plant in Sturgis, Michigan.
“We immediately shut down that one area and began an investigation,” said Abbott’s Melissa Brotz. “We’re in the process of resolving it now.” Abbott manufactures Similac at several U.S. sites.
Brotz said the company has been consulting with the Food and Drug Administration, which determined there was no “immediate health risk” from the contamination.

A controversial Twitter user has been challenging South African authorities by alerting thousands of followers to speed traps set by traffic police.
Now the Johannesburg police are pushing back, saying they have charged the @PigSpotter Twitter user with defamation, impairing the dignity of another person and “defeating the ends of justice,” according to Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Wayne Minaar. He declined to name the person who has been charged or provide documentation of the charges.
“It is an obstruction of justice because we have a mandate to maintain order, and so we do set up traps to catch people who are breaking the law,” said Zweli Mnisi, a spokesman for the Ministry of South African Police. “The information that is there can compromise the safety of the community.”
Minaar said the charges were filed against the Twitter user on Friday.
The @PigSpotter Twitter user, who spoke with CNN via e-mail anonymously because he fears police retribution, said he started the feed to amuse his followers and to bring alleged police corruption to light.

#2) A medical study done in Slovakia injected newborn female rats with Tween 80 (Polysorbate 80). These newborn female rats were injected with Polysorbate 80 at days 4 to 7 after birth. The researchers found that Polysorbate 80 accelerated the maturation of the female rats, damaged the vagina and womb lining, caused significant hormonal changes, severe ovary deformities and ultimately rendered the young female rats infertile.

AETHER – According to ancient and medieval science, aether (Greek αἰθήρ aithēr, also spelled æther or ether, is the material that fills the region of the Universe above the terrestrial sphere.
The word αἰθήρ (aithēr) in Homeric Greek means “pure, fresh air” or “clear sky”, imagined in Greek mythology to be the pure essence where the gods lived and which they breathed, analogous to the air breathed by mortals (also personified as a deity, Aether, the son of Erebus and Nyx). It corresponds to the concept of आकाश (akasha) in Hindu philosophy and is linked to Brihaspati (or the planet Jupiter) and the center direction of the compass. Aristotle included aether in the system of the classical elements of Ionian philosophy as the “fifth element” (the quintessence), on the principle that the four terrestrial elements were subject to change and moved naturally in straight lines while no change had been observed in the celestial regions and the heavenly bodies moved in circles.
