Dave Chappelle & Chris Rock To Tour Together? Word?

by iSpit

The once-rumored stand-up tour with Dave Chappelle still might happen. During a chat with Vulture about his movie 2 Days In New York, Rock briefly talked to us about his upcoming projects, and while he didn’t have much to say about his role in the omnibus comedy What To Expect When You’re Expecting, he’s pretty excited to go out on tour.

“I’ve been talking to Chappelle a lot. Been trying to get Chappelle to go on tour,” he told us. Those reports had surfaced briefly in October, but we’d heard nothing since then; is Rock really going to make this a reality? “You know I’m not the hard one,” he said, laughing. “But I’m trying to make that happen. After seeing Kanye and Jay-Z, I was like, ‘Me and Dave should do this.’”

Dave Chappelle – For What It’s Worth (Full Video)

by iSpit

Dave Chappelle-For What It’s Worth finds the Comedy Central superstar in performance at San Francisco’s legendary Winterland, where he’s welcomed with a huge ovation. Easing into his set, Chappelle shares a few observations about the city itself, noting there’s nothing tender about the Tenderloin District: “You’ve got people smoking crack while sitting in front of Starbucks.” Chappelle’s inspiration dips a bit after that, as the subject of sex with monkeys and smoking weed with Indians doesn’t quite reach his usual standards. Then, suddenly, he’s on top of his game again, his material like an echo of vintage Lenny Bruce as he discusses why whites drink grape juice and blacks drink “grape drink,” why police harassment has led him to believe in impromptu alibis, and why the culture of celebrity should stay away from real-world issues: “Maybe Jah Rule doesn’t have the answers we want in a disaster.

Comedian Dave Chappelle does what he does best in this outrageous and hilarious standup performance, which allows him to really push the envelope and go even farther than he does on his TV show. Taped in San Francisco at the famed Fillmore, Chappelle lets loose on such topics as black celebrities, what it’s like to have raunchy fans of his TV show approach him while he’s trying to enjoy Disneyland with his kids, Michael Jackson, Kobe Bryant and crackheads, of course.

Dave Chappelle – Killin’ Them Softly (Full Video)

by iSpit

Killin’ Them Softly is easily one of HBO’s best comedy specials, catching star Dave Chappelle at a career high in 2000 and with an abundance of hysterical, highly polished material. Taking his time, stretching concepts and bits like a master, Chappelle plunges into a wealth of anecdotes and observations about the influx of white people into Washington, D.C. (where this show was recorded) since the 1980s. (“Who are the scariest people? White guys in black gangs. No telling what they did to get respect.”) There are fantastic tales of racing cops with Chappelle’s white friend, Chip, and a great story about being left alone in a limousine outside a busy crack house. Other good stuff: introducing a kid to a PePe Le Pew cartoon and realizing too late the skunk is a sex criminal, and why we should know our 911 calls will end up played on television.

Originally aired on HBO in 2000, “Killin’ Them Softly” is without a doubt one of the funniest standup specials available. You’ll never laugh more than you will here. Dave spares no victim as he addresses issues about the Police, Racism, Sesame Street, Kids, and the Government. It’s hilarious! Comedy doesn’t get any better than this!

Charlie Murphy – I Will Not Apologize (Full Video)

by iSpit

For those of you who don’t know who Charlie Murphy is, well you
surely would of heard of his younger brother Eddie Murphy.  Charlie
has pretty much lived in his younger brother’s spotlight for many
years, only recently in the past several years he has had a huge rise
thanks to
The Dave Chappelle Show and his skits of Rick James and
Charlie Murphy.  Allowing this once struggling comic/actor to strut the
stage and finally get paid for it.

Charlie Murphy – I Will Not Apologize: Live is simply nothing like the
comedic highs of
Delirious or Eddie Murphy: Raw, so comparing both
of brothers side-by-side would be a waste of time.

IAmNotADictionary Word Of The Day: Black-ronym

by iSpit

IAmNotADictionary Word Of The Day: Black-ronym – An acronym is a word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words.

i.e.  Wac  from Women’s army Corps, OPEC  from Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries,  or loran  from long-range navigation

A black-ronym is nothing like that…

Black-ronyms (usually created by “n*ggas”) either make no logical sense or are EXTREMELY unnecessary. They usually dont follow the format or purpose which is  & to shorten an important phrase

i.e. GNR = Gotta N*gga Rollin; ILY = I Love You; TCAP = To Catch A Predator; CTFU = Crack The F*ck Up (and Im sure you can fill in more from your daily vocabulary)

Twitter has made this problem 100 times worse than it already was because now people make up all types of Black-ronyms and throw a “ # ” sign in front of it which makes it a trending topic (When you share this post with your friends, put ” #Blackroynms ” in front of it and watch…). To  the people that feel that is important, it makes them feel important, and the cycle continues.

Guest Blog:When Did The Word “Nigger” Become Trendy…Deep Thoughts Via A Flash Blog By Eric Blair

by Mr. Blair

Nigger

  1. A member of any dark-skinned people.
  2. Extremely disparaging and offensive; a Black person, a person of any race or origin regarded as contemptible inferior, ignorant, etc.
  3. A victim of prejudice similar to that suffered by Blacks; a person who is economically, politically, or socially disenfranchised.
  4. A derogatory name for a Black person.

Why do so many people use the word nigger?  When did it become cool for other races to use the word, nigger?  Is there an old Jewish White man in Hollywood sending out e-mails to every other race telling them, “Hey, being Black is cool, but if you really want to be down use this cool new word, nigga. Then you’ll be with the in crowd, my nigga.”  Is it that us, Black people, say it so much that other races think: “Fuck it, they know what they are and it sounds cool, so let’s try it out.”
